A-1 Exterminators has been family owned and operated since 1969, when Glenn Sr. and his wife Bette Reich opened the doors in Stockton, California. Glenn Sr. began his career in the pest control industry in 1953 and remained a proud part of the company well into his later years. Even after retirement, he could often be seen dropping by the office until his passing in 2018—a symbol of just how much this business meant to him.
From the beginning, A-1 was built on values that still guide us today: honesty, quality work, and treating people like family. Glenn and Bette passed those values down to their sons, Glenn II and Ryan, who both joined the business as young adults. Over the decades, they became the heart of A-1, growing our reputation for dependable pest and termite control throughout the Central Valley. Glenn’s daughter Stacey also briefly contributed to the business, adding to the strong family foundation.
Ryan dedicated his life to the business, known for his hands-on approach and strong relationships with customers and team members alike. He remained a constant presence until his passing in 2023, leaving behind a lasting legacy of hard work, pride, and service.
Today, A-1 Exterminators is proudly operated by the third generation—Ryan’s children, Courtney Fincher and Robert Reich. After Ryan’s passing, Courtney and Robert stepped up to carry on his legacy with care and pride. Robert now leads the termite division, while Courtney oversees accounting and supports the team wherever she’s needed most. Glenn II continues to offer invaluable support and wisdom, staying involved and connected to the company he helped grow.
